One of those days....

Today has been one of those days where your dogs push you to your limits. Its funny how the year seemed to start so well and know everything seems to be going wrong. I really didn't want to get up this morning but dragged myself out. We quickly walked the dogs round the block to go to the toilet as i was walking them later with Nicola and Gabby. We seemed to meet alot of dogs that where off lead so my dogs felt threatened, know its 7 o'clock in the morning, now just behave!! Actually the boxers where fine just Jess kicked it all off which is unlike her but then she hasn't been for a proper walk for well over a week!! I was at the vets for 8 and they have taken Jess's bandage off and before i could get her home she'd have a little nibble at her stitches, Muppet!! She normally leaves things like that alone but she has been licking it, it looks like she my have taken one out but it all looks fine so fingers crossed she'll keep the rest in. When we took the others for a walk i thought id take Jess with a bag over her foot. I kept her on the lead as we all know Jess likes to go everywhere and anywhere, so she pulled me all the way round. I took a ball for the other 3 as i felt the need to really make them tired. Then Gabby stood on a thorn and proceeded to run around with it hanging out of her foot!! It was about an inch long and i really had to pull to get it out, poor puppy must have really hurt!!! Oh well she was fine after, I'm hoping that my luck will change and i can have dogs that are 100% fit again i just take it all for granted when there all fine!!

Surprise show!!!

My post has just come through the door and in it was my ring orders for a barking mad show on the 21st of March. I had forgotten i had entered it so it was a nice surprise as there always very organised and nice shows... I obviously entered a while ago as Gemma is entered in anysize and Diesel is entered in all the other classes, i must have entered when Gemma was abit rubbish but know she is better than Diesel. I'm quite glad i have entered it know although i was looking forward to a quiet March, but hopefully Jess will be training again soon and will do her good to go to a show before April comes and were out every weekend...
Jess is booked in at the vets again tomorrow morning so i will let you know how she gets on, also through my post this morning was a card from the vets to say Gemma is due for her booster so there all using up my money at the moment. I suppose she was jealous of the others going to the vets bless her...

Also i must congratulate a few people Ellen on winning 2 jumping rounds Saturday that is fabulous and hopefully given you the bug to go further as your both very capable just need your contacts ready for the summer. Also to Emma and Maisy for qualifying for the dogs trust agility team at The ultimate pet show you defiantly deserve it so go and kick some arse!!!

Jessica progress!!!!!!

I took Jess back for a check up this morning at the vets, i thought she'd be abit funny going in as i left her the there the last time. Don't be silly she wasn't bothered at all although there was that look in her eye when the vet went out the back door to find some more bandages!! The vet was pleased with it and then bandaged it all back up although she couldn't find the fluorescent pink vet wrap, boooo!!! She goes back on Thursday for another check up and im praying it may be all healed and she can have her stitches out so we can go for lots of walks in Scotland but it hasn't gone my way so far so i doubt it, he ho at least i didn't have to pay this morning big sigh of relief!!

There is a car under the mud!!!

This is a picture for jo's Dad, yes there is a car under the mud, it looks super duper!! Its all sparkling and you can see out the windows... We took it to get fixed and the nice man cleaned it for me and waxed it you name it he did it. He even put a wicked strip along the back where the dogs get in to stop them from scratching it, and hes fixing my tow bar on Monday as well woop woop!!!!
Jess was very pleased to come home from the vets. She couldn't decide what was more exciting me or the door out, i think the door out the place won!!! She has a massive bandage over it all and is only aloud lead walks. She is having a check up tomorrow morning to check everything is going ok. I shall let you no how we get on...
Today i took Diesel and Gemma flyball training. Diesel was very excited and had a great time, she started off quite quick but soon got tired probably because they haven't bee getting the exercise they need this week as i seem to have been everywhere and have had no time for anything else, and with Jess just going round the block ive been abit hectic. I got Gemma back out to have a little go as i think she'd be really good if she'd just get over herself. She was abit wet at the start but i got her ball out the car and she was off. She did the whole lane and her ball was dropped down the box and she got it without thinking about anything else and turned and came straight back up the line like she'd been doing it forever. When she has her ball she seems to forget about everything else and what shes nervous with!! So we shall keep trying with her and see if we can get some confidence into her!!!!!

Poor Jess!!

Poor Jess Ive had to leave her at the vets this morning, booo!!! Shes not going to be looked at either until mid day so she is currently sat in a kennel ahhh i feel so guilty!! As i am sure you can tell her paw has taken a turn for the worse, it was going really nicely and healing back together. On Wednesday it had opened again and by Thursday it was starting to swell up so although it looked clean the infection was in there!!! So i booked her and Diesel in for 8am this morning and i was actually early which is a first!! The vet decided to keep her in for today and give her some sedation and cut some of the skin away and stitch it, booo!! They bout out another lead for her and she knew what was happening my poor baby i hate leaving them, the student dragged her away to a kennel and as you can imagine Diesel was very confused!! I shall write later and let you know how she is!!!

Made it to training!!!!

Gemma has had a fantastic couple of days and is really enjoying training on her own. We finally made it to agility woop woop and Gemma was amazing. We had some really hard things to do ( well hard for the boxers) but Gemma took it all in her stride and didn't put a foot wrong. Its really given me confidence as i can trust her to take lines so i can get in my next position... Shes going to be really fast so now shes feeling confident i need to start getting her working ahead of me as shes very capable. She even managed a off side weave entry all though i was so stunned we messed the rest up, but shes still learning her weaves. Shes made loads of doggy friends whilst out on her own and its nice to trust her but as soon as the others are there she'll go back to her usual ways although i do think she is in love with Ronny, Ronny your very privileged!!
Jess's is paw is healing well although it is weeping abit so im now trying to keep it open to get anything out that needs to come out but its amazing how deep it was that if i left it it would have healed completely although prob with and infection, fingers crossed!!!
As you can see Diesel really isn't fussed about not working well shes not fussed about anything. Shes really itchy at the moment as im a bad mother and left it too long to order her injections so shes not on any at the mo. If i ever wondered if they worked im having proof know, they really do help there never going to clear it completely but they help loads. Shes starting to ruin her face again from scratching which is a shame as it takes so long for it all to grow back. All my fault though poor puppy shes suffering cause of me oh well the injections should be in soon.
Gabbys cage arrived last week and as you can see its rather big he he, Ian shut me in when i was naughty LOL he wishes it won't stop me talking though!!! Gabby is very calm in it and its so nice to go home and know she hasn't eaten anything. Jess loves the cage and spends most of her time in it probably because no one else goes in although Diesel did investigate it yesterday. The boxers will go in eventually just take them time. This morning Gabby has been playing with a German Shepherd, i was really pleased as i put Gemma on the lead and Gabby went straight up to have a chat as sometimes she can be abit nervous. She doesn't read the doggie signs though and was straight on her back pinned down quite a few times but she just gets back up and starts playing again, what a moose!! Then the Shepherd got bored and decided to give her a run for her money and was showing Gabby how much faster she was, so Gabby had a great time getting covered in mud and made a new friend.
We went to wickes last night for some more wood and the pink paint woop woop, Ian reckons he can have some of the jumps finished by the end of the weekend so i can paint them woop woop. I'm going to take some off my kit up to the school hopefully this week so we can start doing more training especially on our weaves!!!

Jump progress!!!

Yesterday morning i took the boxers for there usual walk whilst Ian took Jess round the block. Were trying to keep Jess doing the minimum off walking on her paw as the more she walks the more it opens. I re dressed it yesterday morning and it looked much better. Shes being really good hasn't taken her bandage off and is not bothered about just going round the block. I re dressed it last night but Ian thought he was being nice taking Diesel and Jess round the block twice but it had opened up abit again. So shes on strict lay down duties although she runs most places round the house, very helpful. Me and Amy went to our handling lesson yesterday. Amy hadn't realised where it actually was until we put the post code in the sat nav and really hadn't left ourselves time to get there. Somehow we made it 10 minutes early. Gemma and Ronny were really well behaved and Gemma was like a different dog, letting people touch her talking to other dogs she had a lovely day, it was so nice to see her like that!! Compared she had never done any handling she was really good and very patient with me. She didn't like standing one way but was fine standing the other way facing the other dogs. We learnt loads but my brain was rather frazzled by the end of it. I find handling really hard and can't seem to get my head round it all, and i don't think i just panic. If i did it more often i think it would start getting in my head better but doing it every know and then is hard. I will keep doing a few classes but i really don't take it seriously. Ronny and Gemma where great friends and Gemma just wanted to kiss him and was being a proper little girlie and trying to make him chase her, at times Ronny did have other ideas though LOL!!

Ian has spent a couple of hours making jumps whoop whoop!! Haven't seen them yet as there in the garage but the pictures look cool can't wait to paint them, have to wait for next weekend it see what else he manages to do!!

Tonight hopefully we'll all make it to agility whoop whoop!! Although Diesel is just finishing her season and with Jess's paw its me and Gemma again. I've been meaning to take her on her own for a while know as I'm sure she'll be much better as she'll have all my attention!! So I'm quite excited although it will be very strange without the other 2!!

What a strange day!!!!!!!!!

Well today started differently to what was expected!!! I was going to go the flyball show with Emma as can't really afford the fuel at the moment and Diesel is in season so i was only going to take Jess. We went out for our usual walk yesterday morning and a lady down the road approached us asking if we knew of anyone who might want a 2 year old bitch boxer. It breaks my heart to see boxers in rescue centres as they do take offence from it. So yesterday we raked our brains and thought of Brian and Christine, Ian works with Brian. They had mentioned to me at the Christmas party that they were looking for a boxer but couldn't afford a puppy. So yesterday was spent with alot of text messages and phone calls and in the end they wanted to see the dog. So i had to change my plans so we could all go and see the dog as the people down the road don't have it at the mo as there in rented accommodation which is why they were looking to re home her. To cut along story short they wanted Sasha and i know they will look after her really well so we did that this morning. We text this afternoon to see how she was and apparently she has met all the family and was playing ball in the garden so I'm really pleased. I am so glad the girl asked us rather than go to a rescue home we made the transaction for the dog easier than what it could have been. So then we set off with Gemma and Jess, dropped Diesel off with my Mum and John who had his kids so Diesel has had a great day!!!! We were in division A so we should have been first in, instead they did division b so we put Jess back in the car. I had a play with Gemma as i am taking her to my handling lesson tomorrow instead of Diesel. We then wondered back down with Jess, after watching half an hour of racing we had 2 races and then we were in. I was excited as there was only 4 dogs, fencing all around so the dogs had to go down and i wanted to try Jess without Diesel around!! I decided to take Jess out for another wee as thought she would have got excited again what a mistake!!!!!!!! We only got to the grass, straight away she had a wee then went into the hedge and came out running and limping. I managed to stop her as she didn't seem to care so assumed she had a thorn in her foot. I caught her and looked at her paw and she had a big and deep gash in her foot!!! I picked her up to stop anymore infection getting in and someone bandaged her up with some antiseptic powder. Hopefully it will heal without a vet charge. Its funny how you do something really nice and help people out and then with our own dogs it seems like everythings against you, he ho!!!!!!

Weave!!!!!!!

As you can see my weaves turned up yesterday woop woop!!!!!! So we were weaving around the living room, although our living room isn't long enough for all 12 weaves. The boxers wernt liking them in the living room and were going through a weave and then jumping on the sofa. Jess was having a great time i don't think she could believe we were doing agility in the living room. I threatened to have the tunnel down the hall and the weaves in the living room but Ian gave me the stare of disapproval and he had been very nice to me so thought i won't put him in a grump, LOL! Hopefully the snow will soon go from the school as yes some nice person has cleared the road but the school has still got alot of snow so won't get my car up there at the mo so will hang onto my new equipment until i won't get my car stuck as i think my car has generally done rather well in the snow!!!!!!!!

TUNNEL!!!!!!!!

I managed to get out the yard although did get someone else to do it for me. I drove along the road luckily there are now 2 tracks but the snow in the middle is skimming the bottom of my car. I started turning into the yard and went ohh sh*t!!! There was about a foot of snow with no tracks, i did go sideways but i managed to get in without being pushed. Ashley turned up when i was about to go so asked very kindly if he'd get it out for me. Whilst ding so another livery turned up and got stuck so had to push her in. Finally Ashley got me out with the help of me and Carol pushing ahhhh I'm starting to really lose confidence in the snow as I've already given in that i cant get out before I've got in the car. No one believes how bad the road is but believe me it is everyday you think it must have gone, but no!! Oh well done with my moan apart from the people in 4x4 who keep going along that road whilst i have to stop and get stuck again. Ok sos I'm done with moaning hopefully we can go training on Monday night and snow will all have gone!!
When i finally managed to get home me and Ian managed to get the tunnel out of its very comfy box. I thought it would be smaller as its really light but no when we got it out the box its flaming massive he he!! So we put it out in the living room and Jess was off flying up and down it having a great time, compared shes the one that can't be arsed with the tunnel she was loving it!! Gemma had loads of goes and Gabby kept running up and down the outside, bless. Diesel on the other hand she just sat on the sofa watching until i made her get off. That was it then we had dogs going up and down crashing into each other having a great time! Even when we tried to put it away there was still dogs inside it!!
I had to go outside to take this pic, i knew there was a reason for having double doors!!!!!!!

Training canelled!!!!!!

Thought id put some pictures up off the summer last year to cheer myself up (think i may need some chocolate and a glass of wine as well). I'm getting really fed up with this snow and i normally love it. Its getting really hard to walk on and dirty, needless to say the dogs are still loving it... Training was canceled again last night which i was pleased about as id made it to yard once i weren't gonna do it again, I'm hoping this sun will melt it as it seems to be the only road still covered in snow. My tunnel turned up today unfortunately it came when i was out walking Gabby, luckily a neighbour took it for me and Ive just got it and slipped my way back to my house but now can't get it out the box to play with it!!! BOOOO!!! Ian has text me saying I'll just have to wait which he knows i hate doing, so I'm being very good, tucked it n a corner and trying to forget about it. My weaves are meant to be coming today, weather depending!! Hopefully me and Ian will make it to wicks one night this week to invest in some wood and Ian's going to start making some jumps. I've given him some drawings of what i want and then ended up just showing him a photo, i am in charge of painting he he!!!

More snow pictures!!!!!!!!

We have just walked out of our house to go to the shop and found our neighbours building us a wall apparently to keep the warm in, aren't they kind. I know you can't see her but Diesel has her front paws on top and is looking out of her wall!!! We have had some funny looks from our other neighbours and yes Adam and Becky seem to have plenty off time on there hands!!!!!!
And this is when Diesel went through it!!!!!!!

Snow glorious snow!!!!!!!

What a fun couple of days although the snow does come with its problems as my show on Saturday has been cancelled, which im abit gutted about as each dog had 5 runs and they got 2 attempts at there jumping and agility rounds, he ho although Diesel wouldn't be able to go as she is season.

My dogs have had a great couple of days, they all adore the snow and really take advantage of the extra walks they are getting as we all have more time. It was my mums birthday yesterday and been as no one wanted to drive anywhere we took the dogs for a long walk, fortunately they were knackered when we got home. Poor Jess she gets loads of snow stuck to her and it must be really painful but she doesn't seem to care and as soon as you've got them all off shes outside having a roll again!!!
Today Ian managed to get to work and then his boss phoned in and as there was only 2 of them and told them to go home. His friend helped him get out of the car park and then came home although did get his car stuck up our road, but with the help off some neighbours and a spade we got it out into a safe parking space where no one is going to skid into it. So Ian was able to come for along walk with us today and realised why i was so tired last night as its really hard to walk on....

I have finally invested in some weaves and a tunnel and some poles. Ian is going to make me some jumps and then i can keep it all up the school and go up whenever the school is free and have a play... I am awaiting the weaves as they are being made and the tunnel would have arrived if it hadn't have snowed, but i am unable to get to the school at the moment so that makes no odds. Its funny having an indoor venue but the road to it isn't too good and theres no point as i made it there the start of the week but am not going to risk it know.

Bit of snow but still want more!!!

Well i was hoping for snow and at times last night it really hammered it down and i was getting very exited but then it would stop. So we have a little snow although the dogs love it however much we get. It is snowing know but not very much. The dogs have been playing in the garden and generally trashing it, good girls!!! We may get some more later so may not make it to agility training tonight but we all know the weather is very likely to change!!!

Find Jess, again!!!!!!!
