Fab weekend!!!!!!!

What a fantastic weekend we've had thanks to my dogs and some fantastic friends. This was our first weekend in the caravan and apart from a few hitches with running out of gas although we bought a new one that wouldn't go on it was fantastic and perfect size (although my car wasn't pleased). What an amazing picture of Diesel that Ian took. This was her 1st run of the weekend and the wall was the 3rd fence and i was very excited about doing it as it was the 3rd in a straight line so they would have a good run on it. Ian was instructed that he must get this picture after missing Diesel doing the water jump at moreton morrel but getting everyone else. So here it is she jumped it massive her back must feel better. Diesel was my most consistent dog of the weekend, she jumped every fence which i still can't believe, got all her contacts. She only came out the ring with 5 faults in all her classes how amazing and those faults where either her weave entry or knocking a pole. After training with her on Monday night i gave up with her as she just wasn't concentrating at all so i really didn't think she'd pull this weekend out the bag but she did bless her. I left her and Gemma on 2 rounds yesterday as this was there first 2 day show and they had both worked extremely hard for me.
Jess is a little muppet bless her although she won her agility round so has know taken us all up to grade 3 uhh ohh!!!!!! Her first round was 1-7 helter shelter and she went flying past a fence and then back jumped it the moose so was e'd out that. I took her straight into do her agility and she was a darling although we were 3 from home and the weaves where there and i was screaming weave and she just stopped in time before she went past the second pole and i just managed to get her in and she went clear. The rest of her rounds where abit hit and miss but she has done very well compared that i was using this weekend as abit of a training weekend for the rest of summer and let go off my comfort blanket and see if she will take things herself. I think i may just have to sacrifice a few rounds this to remind her of a few things, lol!!!

Gemma was interesting and i'm learning alot about her, i think our partnership will take a while to get but once were there shes gonna be great. I've been pushing her in training and i think i forgot that this was her first outside big show show and i must remember that she has come a very long way. Saturday she mainly had faults i.e weaves. Yesterday she missed a fence completely in a straight line which puzzled me abit but Ians got it on video so will have a look tonight i think she may have got in abit deep and was tired. But in that round i did a lovely cross behind her which was a first in a competition. Her next round was an agility round which i slowed myself down so as not to push her and she did a lovely clear round so i left her on that as i was really pleased with her. I think she needs abit of time to get used to the situations and then start pushing her. She has done some fantastic weaves this weekend and she does get rather worked up some times and when she starts shaking i know shes not going to do very well so i should take her away and get her in a better frame of mind, it takes time to learn how they click.

Congratulations to Ellen and Hamish for there 10th thats amazing out of over 150 dogs. Emma and Maisy are still learning little bits about each other but there is definate improvement and bits of her rounds are coming together, and can you tell Maisy not to give Jess tips of how to screw her rounds up lol. Anne and Crafty had a fab day on saturday, compared that Anne was late after getting lost and was unable to walk 2 rounds they both did very well. I've never seen Crafty work so well before she was going really well very exciting at the start of the season.

So i've had a great weekend thanks to my dogs and can't wait till next weekend!!
