Packington
I must start my blog by apologising to my pooches. My head has been no were near agility at the moment and i seem to have a big cloud in my head that i can't seem to think outside it. My poor dogs have had to put up with some rubbish handling and wrong commands so im very very sorry girls! Gemma aparently doesnt like the heat and i ended up taking her out of one class as she just wombled aroud, so i may have to invest in a coat that cools the dogs down. Diesel coped very well with the heat and i was really pleased with her she has worked really hard this weekend and had lovely clear on Monday. Jessica had some very hard courses on Sunday and in an combined 3-7 course she came out with only 10 faults which were my fault so i was really pleased with that. She did a lovely agility round on Monday and came 6th which i was pleased about. Congratulations to everyone else this weekend i can't remember what everyone did but im sure we all achieved some off our goals. I shall try and sort myself out for this weekend.

Fantastic pooches.........
Yesterday me and Ian went to Belvoir steam festival to compete in the agility part of the show. Ian had a few grumbles on the way but once he was out the car he was off looking at all the cars and things so he had a great time and never moaned again all day. I was abit nervous about running Jess as i haven't done anything with her for a couple of weeks but she was fantastic and ran her heart out she couldn't have gone any quicker for me. She was leading in the agility and i kept thinking someone go quicker i don't want to be grade 4 yet and luckily she someone went quicker so she was 2nd which i was so pleased with. She also got a 3rd in the steeplechase which was small and medium dogs together which i was really pleased with as some of those small dogs are super quick. And know i must brag about my boxers as they were both fantastic yesterday. Gemma started abit slow but she hasn't worked for weeks and this was her 2nd day at a show and i wasn't expecting much from her as alot of people were watching and there was alot going on. She coped extremely well and in her agility she got a 7th woop woop i was over the moon and i must say we did open the champagne last night. She went clear all day and i couldn't have asked her for anymore. Diesel was also fantastic, she did get ed in her first class, she went under a fence but then turned and went straight back over it i couldn't believe it she normally wont jump it once shes gonna under so I'm really pleased with her. She was half a second over a very tight time as it was a alpha qualifier otherwise she would have been 9th unfortunately but i took it slower with her so she had time to o over the fences and not under. The last round was steeple chase and Diesel did it in 22 seconds and Gemma did it in 23seconds. Diesel just seems to be getting faster and faster and to think a couple of weeks ago i was gonna do anysize with her, im glad i didn't. I think Jess though as she didn't compete Saturday she got her act together and proved to me she was worth running. If Gemma would have been 6th she would have qualified for the alpha challenge but he ho that's how it works. I have the best pooches ever and they all had extra tea...

Worcester agility!
Today we went to worcester agility, i didn't run Jess as tommorow we are going to Belvoir and there are only 14 dogs in the class so didnt want to risk Jessicas lameness today and save her tommorow. Diesel has had a fantastic day she has really got confident and is loving it. She has been really quick we some quick weaving aswell. She went clear this afternoon and just silly mistakes otherwise but she is running so much better think at times shes quicker than Gemma. Gemma had a great first run which i must say i was worried about as the course was difficult and i havnt run her for a while but she was fantastic got her off side weaves and just had a pole down. Her agility was great just came out the weaves but i was panicing as she had gone so nicely in the other round. Her last round she seemed to be a bit distracted but due to handler error she missed a fence but otherwise went well. I must congratulate Sandy and Henry for there 3rd in agility well done. Can't wait for tommorow.

Training....
Last night me and Nicola ventured up the school with the boxers. Jessica has been banished to lead walks although she is juming round the house more than ever. When i got back Sunday she was lame don't no what Ian did to her lol. She looks better today but i shall see how she goes as if Jess is limping it must be bad.
Once i'd done abit with my boxers i set up a line across the school jump, tyre, tunnel then 4 fences. I asked Nicola to stand one end and sent mine down it to get them working in front of me. They were both great and Gemma really does have some speed when she gets going. We had a play with Gabby then and slowely got her going down the line one at a time. We got her doing the whole line and Nicolas really going to have to teach her to work a head as Gabbys going to be quick. Gabby is making some real progress and is really trying to figure out what shes got to do and the main thing is she enjoys it. Wont be long until those poles are up rather than on the floor.

Yesterday me and Amy set off for Stafford show ground as we had entered the handling and Amy had also entered the obedience with Summer. Poor Diesel i do let her down as i cant seem to get this handling thing. Although i wasn't quite so nervous this time and i managed to keep my head out the way to show her teeth i showed the judge the wrong part of her mouth grrr arrgh. So we finished 2nd to Amy and Maisy, i do get annoyed with myself as sometimes it is the small things that you mess up that costs you that place, he ho sorry Diesel were going to have go through it all over again. Congratulations to Amy and Maisy for qualifying, and thankyou to Maisy for not wrecking my car!!
After getting home from the show last night i stuffed some food down my gullet and set off again as i had bought some jumps from the other side of milton keynes. Nicola came with me and we did some wickard off roading which Ian would have shot me for but we had a great time bouncing around. So just need to do abit of painting again and i have 10 more jumps he he!!

Good citizens.....
Last night was our good citizens test. After getting to the field early only to discover there were cows in the field i must say i did start to panic. Luckily with a bit of persuasion the cows did try and stay the other side of the field. All the dogs where brilliant and none of them went over and this was certainly a big distraction. It was quite hard as instead of doing the bronze and then the silver we had to bits of both in between each other due to trying to find another venue but in the end we stayed at the field and i am pleased to say all the dogs passed. Jess did her bronze and Diesel did her silver. The silver dogs didn't put a foot wrong apart from the obedience collie of Amys who had to do a few things twice ha ha the boxers beat you lol i shall remind you off that in the future of how brilliant our boxers are. I wanted to do Gemmas bronze but due to her being in season i haven't done any training. Next time she'll be there and im glad to say she is out of season know so she will be back at.
Tonight me and Amy are going to spiceball to practise some handling for Sunday. I have dug my suit out and washed it so tomorrow Diesel will have a nice bath.
A big congratulations to everyone once again on to the next one.....

Shrewsbury!!!!
These are the pug puppies they are soo cute and id love one he he. They are 4 weeks old and are huge poor Vera had 5 puppies. Shes a great mum and i cant wait for them to get bigger so more playing can be done lol. I'll try and get some better photos of them.
I must do some congratulations as between us all we've all had a fab couple of days. To start with Anne and Crafty had a fab clear round yesterday the first with weaves in woop woop. You pair are really starting to click and what a great start to the season keep up the good work. Ellen and Hamish had a good day yesterday they had a clear in there agility and due to the timer not going off was able to do a re run. They went clear again and Ellen really worked Hamish and she knocked seconds off her first time and finishd 2nd woop woop out off loads off dogs. They had a great jumping round but unfortunately Hamish thought he was being a better boy if her jumped the fence not in between it lol we all learn from out mistakes. Sandy and Henry got a 5th today in agility which is fab, they are looking good and when Henry gets going he really works just a typical springer the other times. Emma and Maisy were invited to the ultimate pet show and did a 40 weave challenge which judging by the video they were both amazing and it has hopefully given Emma abit off weave confidence lol. Just got to get it in a round and your contacts and leaving the poles up but at the end of the day you have fab weaves, congratulations to everyone!!
Yesterday me and Ellen met Sandy on the motorway and travelled to shrewsbury show. It was our first show at grade 3 so i was abit nervous. I wasn't bothered about Jess as she has been doing all sorts of courses and nothing really fazes her. All of Diesels runs were in first in. Her first jumping course was quite tricky and i was making it alot harder than what it was for myself. I soon remembered this was Diesel i was running not Gemma so i really made it simple for her. She went really well just having a pole and coming out the last weave as she was looking at another jump. I was really pleased with her as she did all the technical bits that i was worried about. Her next round was also jumping and due to no dogs on the line i got in early. She missed a jump due to her having her head down and noticing the tunnel bless her i shall have to remember that for next time. She got 12 weaves with little help from me which i was so chuffed with as she seems to remember how to do it again. Her last round was agility and luckily the seesaw was nearer the end of the course so i knew she wouldn't go hooning off it as she would have been tired. Im glad to say she went clear got all her contacts and got her weave entry. I am so pleased with Diesel as i was worried that Diesel wouldn't be able to cope but she well and truly proved me wrong.
Jessicas first round was a 1-7 olympia qualifier. She sniffed all the way through the weaves and then in her last flick flack she went past as she had spotted some cow poo on the floor in the ring grr arrg!!! So i took it nice and steady and had a nice round after that. Her jumping round was really nice and flowing and Jess flew round i know she couldn't have gone any quicker so i was really pleased with her. In her last agility she also went clear and the only thing we could quicken up was her contacts but at the end of the day atleast she got them. The coures where really nice and gave me chance to leave her standing which makes her switch on...
