Stig pics
Ahh the breeder has just sent me some photos of Stig enjoying the sunshine, trying not to get to excited but it is very exciting although i have so many questions that i am asking myself on the ways i want him to be he he!! Only another couple of days of calm. Last night i went for a lesson at Janes with Gemma. I feel she is starting to understand the word "Steady" on the dog walk and towards the end of the lesson she was walking off the contact woop woop! Her a frame is still hit and miss we used the ball rolling down to get her head down. She went really well and is getting quicker and i need to let her get on with the weaves and not be half hearted about it especially some of the weave entries she got at the weekend without me. Also we were trying to tighten the dogs up round corners which i must admit i never ever think about lol, and so i started doing some reverse turns and it worked really well she was much tighter and was always looking for the next fence so lots to think about for the weekend.

Bromsgrove
Cant find my lead to plug the camera into the computer so no photos will put them on asap. After arriving in the dark we soon got set up and started drinking lol. What glorious weather we had how lucky where we. Gemma has had a fantastic weekend and was well up for it and just had 5 in grade 3 agility jumping off her dog walk and went clear in the 1-7 funny that, why do they do that as she also had another lovely clear in the 1-7 jumping on the Sunday. She was running like how she used to if not quicker so that was very pleasing although she did seem very stressed this weekend and wouldn't eat any food so i had to put some pate in her tea and then she ate abit lol. Jessica went well but did seem a little distracted this weekend whether it as hot and it is hard work for her. It was nice to hear somebody ask me why she is in large so i explained. Diesel really wasn't bothered about agility at all this weekend and i must say i am slowly losing the will with her lol i don't really think shes enjoying it at the moment i think i need to put abit more effort it in again and get her fit again as she does just ponder along when she goes for her walks whilst the others are hooning around bless her shes still my lap dog!! Fingers crossed Gemma is back on form. This morning our walk had to be cut a little short as i could hear the hunt out cubbing and didn't think meeting them with 4 dogs would be useful so jessica has just had a fantastic game jumping out the back door hooning round the garden and flying back in the door and jumping on the sofa and do it all again with Gabby in tow but they are all quiet know.
Congratulations to Jo and Keisha for winning grade 4 jumping, Emma for 2nd in her jumping, Ellen and Hamish for 5th in there agility and to Anne and Crafty for there first clear round in agility.

New brother..
Yep its true were getting a puppy woop woop. After alot of thought and chats with people we/i came to the decision on getting a collie puppy. I don't want 4 dogs but at the same time i spend alot of money travelling and time training just to go to shows for clear rounds. As much as my dogs are fantastic and i adore running them and are really proud of them i am a competitive person. So i started looking into collie pups and found some of agilitynet. Apparently the mum doesn't switch off but the dad does. We went to meet the mum and dad and all the pups last night. As predicted Mum was fantastic and just kept bringing a ball to us reminded me off Maisy and Dad was much more placid and wanted a nice cuddle. Then we met the puppies so gorgeous, they had the run off a bedroom and there was 3 left and of course i was drawn to red and white dog. There was a puppy who was quiet and hid, don't want that. So in the end we picked the red and white and named him Stig, well my mother named him. I'm so excited and can't wait for him to come home although the breeder would let me have him this weekend im gonna wait till i finish work and have time. Now the training plan needs to be thought out. Its very scary as this is really the last dog im gonna have in a very long time so its gotta be right but so much can happen in 18 months but fingers crossed.
Saturday we went to wiccaweys agility show. It was a lovely little show and small ques. Jess did her 3 runs which was the most shes done in large and she was struggling in the helter skelter but she had no poles all day so i was really pleased. Diesel was rather slow but it was very hot. I ran her in her jumping and she got in too deep and had a pole and then she lost her confidence abit so i didn't do anymore with her. Gemma went really well and i could see abit of her old self again helped by such lovely flowing courses. Although she did get abit distracted looking at the judge in her jumping.
Congratulations to Emma and Maisy for a fantastic round in there agility you looked so confident and it all payed off and was fantastic to see.

Boxer show...
What a fabulous day we had on Sunday. We arrived ans there was a certain buzz that my girls definitely picked up on. They were bouncing around very different from an agility show. We arrived early so we could have a practise and do those dreaded stays. Gemmma was rather confused in her prebeginners obedience bless her and wasn't great but my little Diesel worked her socks off and we were drawing with someone else for 1st place. I managed to get Gemma into her novice before lunch and she was really good i was so impressed and even in the retrieve the only thing she did wrong was drop the dumb bell at my feet but i was so impressed. Unfortunately Diesel went in after lunch and was bored so didn't work quite aswell as she had in the morning and her retrieve she decided that laying down and chewing the dumb bell was a much better option but i was still really pleased with her as i had no expectations. Then came those stays, hilarious we all sat our boxers down then came the "last command" and about 5 boxers got up and ran off it was funny i am pleased to say that, Crafty, Gemma, Diesel and Gabby where all still sat there wondering what was going on. Luckily the dog we were drawing with got up in his stay woop woop. All our dogs did perfect stays in the pre beginners but we did the novice straight after and unfortunately Crafty went down in her sit and Gabby did with only 10secs to go. So results as follows Pre beginners
1st Diesel
4th Anne and Crafty
6th Nicola and Gabby woop woop
Novice
2nd Gemma
3rd Diesel
5th Nicola and Gabby
6th Anne and Crafty (i think)
After we got the obedience over with we decided to go do the agility, nice little course but very tight with alot of draws for the long striding dogs. Diesel went first and she did a lovely little clear with no problem then Gemma who made me work for it but went clear in a good time beating Diesel. Unfortunately Crafty took all the draws but had a fab time. So Gemma won the agility and Diesel should have been 2nd as they were the only ones that went clear but someone else got 2nd although she is one off our boxer friends so i wasn't bothered i must say it wasn't very official but Gemma defiantly won as everyone kept coming and telling me she was still winning and how great her round was. Gemma also has a new title and was presented with, "Best agility boxer" and she has a massive rosette so we will have to hold onto this title next year aswell.
Then there was a lovely companion show and again Gemma had a fab time results below,
Gemma
1st Best condition
1st Prettiest bitch
1st the judge would most like to take home.
Diesel
4th in best trick
4th best expression
Jess
2nd in best gundog
2nd in best treat catcher
Tassi
4th in prettiest bitch
4th waggiest tail
Gabby
2nd in best white boxer
Crafty
3rd in waggiest tail
4th in vetran
So we all had a fantastic day just got to find some where to put all the rosettes. The dogs were so chilled it just shows how much they do get wound up by everything at agility and it was lovely to be able to walk past cars without being barked at or someone saying,"oh its a boxer" and letting there dogs carry on barking at them. I know this is a thing that is never going to change but boxers are very forgiving they can have a number of ocasions where dogs will go for them in a day but you will rarly see them really have a go at another dog. My brother has taken loads of pictures so as soon as i get them ill put them on the blog and can't wait for next year.

Dordale
This weekend we went to Dordale, due to Diesel being in season she was un able to compete boo!!!Poor Jess is going much better and alot faster but she can't help but have a pole bless her although she did go clear on Sunday in jumping woop woop. She had an amazing agility round just having a pole because i started to call her in and she dropped her back legs, for once everywhere i had planned to be i wasn't as she was in front of me so hopefully this is how she is going to be from know on. Gemma was rather horrible on Saturday and know you should never blame your dog but she'd chewed all her favorite balls and for some reason the judges always seemed to catch her eye and then she goes soo flat. So Sunday i made a massive effort to get between her and the judge and she was much better and she has the most fantastic weaves if she hits then right.
Me,Ian,Emma and Steve moved all my equipment yesterday morning woop woop so lots of practising can know be done. Going to try and bribe some friends that Gemma doesn't know and make them follow her around so hopefully she get used too judges. I must say the courses where lovely at the weekend.
Massive congratulations to Emma and Maisy for your first clear at KC and going on to winning grade 1 jumping woop woop!! Congratulations to Sandy and Henry for winning grade 2 agility!!
